The Wednesday waiver report

Sharknado Fires $16 Into the Void

The Sharknado, sitting pretty at 1-4 and 11th place, decided the solution to a lost season was to torch $16 of FAAB like it owed them money. Headline move: $7 for Kimani Vidal, a RB54 pickup that's fine, not thrilling, but hell, it's a body. Then they blew $6 on the Ravens D/ST (DST11, and the single most-wanted player of the day with 5 claims on him) while dumping a DST30 that nobody will miss, and capped it off wasting $3 on Harrison Butker, a K11 upgrade for a team that needed anything but a kicker rescue. Bold strategy for a team in the basement.

Everybody else basically tipped the valet and went home. Reading Dwayne Bowe grabbed Adonai Mitchell for $5 — a legit value snag on a WR52 that drew 3 claims — plus a cheap Tyler Higbee pickup. American AF, your 1-4 league punching bag in 12th, at least played the board smart, nabbing Stroud and Freiermuth (4 claims!) for peanuts. Three Stripe Life quietly upgraded their DST and added a receiver for $2 apiece, business as usual for a 3rd place club that doesn't need to panic.

Meanwhile K-Bo Ghosts, J-Rod the Bod and Beats by JJ sat on their hands, spending a combined zero dollars while picking off free scraps. Of the 39 claims filed, 24 face-planted — 16 simply lost the bidding war, proving once again that half this league still doesn't understand what a backup bid is for.
