The Wednesday waiver report

Scurve Blows the Budget on a Downgrade

Wednesday's waiver wire saw 25 claims thrown at the wall, 12 stuck, and $91 of your precious FAAB got lit on fire across the league. Leading the arson squad: Captain Scurve, sitting pretty at 1-3 for 10th place, who torched $53 on Will Shipley (RB55) while dropping Jaylen Wright, who's literally ranked one spot better at RB54. Congrats, Scurve, you paid a premium to get worse. That's not a waiver move, that's a tip to the universe for existing.

Meanwhile The Sharknado, also 1-3 and parked in 11th, decided one disaster wasn't enough and went on a full bender — $35 total across four claims, including $14 for T.J. Hockenson, the week's most contested man with four suitors circling him like buzzards. Dropping a top-15 kicker for Hockenson is almost defensible; dropping Jason Myers (K4) for Harrison Mevis (K13) two picks later is not. Make up your mind about kickers, you lunatics.

Everybody else basically whispered. Three Stripe Life and Beats by JJ tossed pocket change. Four teams — J-Rod the Bod, American AF, Straight Bums Homie, and K-Bo Ghosts — won players for a cool zero dollars, because nobody else wanted them either. And spare a thought for the 13 failed claims: eight got sniped, four tried dropping ghosts, and one poor soul forgot their roster was already full. Rookie stuff.
