The Wednesday waiver report

Scott, still winless, blows $40 on RB73 and a WR77

Well shit, folks, Wednesday's waiver wire looked like a going-out-of-business sale, and American AF's Scott ran up there with a shopping cart and no adult supervision. Thirty bucks — the day's biggest bid — for Emanuel Wilson, a man ranked RB73 and 247 overall, then another ten for Rashod Bateman, WR77. That's $40 of your $100 budget spent on two guys who will not touch your lineup, buried by a team sitting 0-2 in 12th place. We all know Scott isn't very good at this, and honestly with only one ball to his name, we should be grateful he found the FAAB button at all. Meanwhile Sam's Town beat out five other suitors for Bryce Young at $21, and Beats by JJ won the other six-team scrum for Denzel Boston at $19 — a legit QB and WR run, both actual bargains compared to the chaos around them.

The real horror show belongs to Captain Scurve, who paid $6 for 33-ranked Kirk Cousins by cutting Marvin Harrison Jr., a WR31 sitting at 70 overall. That's not a waiver claim, that's a self-inflicted wound, fitting for a 0-2 team. Meanwhile K-Bo Ghosts, sitting pretty at 2-0 and 1st, casually strolled in and grabbed Sione Vaki for a single buck, because when you're that good you don't need to panic-spend like the rest of this sorry league. Straight Bums Homie and J-Rod the Bod stayed home entirely, spending nothing, and thirteen other claims died because someone else already snatched the corpse first.
